Spanish in other words place or country of festivals, widely known for Flamenco music and dance, bullfights, awesome beaches and lots of sunshine. But what is Actually Spain known for is It’s festivals and culture of Spain is one of the more distinctive cultures in all of Europe, Spain is also popular for its tourist destinations. Spain cultures still vary from region to region, but several prevailing traditions remain unchanged throughout the country.

Some Festivales de España Are:-

La Tomatina

La Tomatina is a Spanish festival celebrated in the Valencian town of Bunol in the east of Spain.
Since 1945 it has been celebrated on the last Wednesday of August, during the week of festivals of Bunol.
In this festival people throw tomatoes on one another and get involved in the celebration. The game is filled with indulgence and enjoyment. Participants enjoy this game to the fullest.

This festival is full of fun for the Spanish people.. The tomato fight continues for an hour after that that the whole town is enveloped with the tomato paste.There are some rules of the game which everyone has to follow to participate in the festival. The tomatoes have to be squeezed before throwing to dodge injuries. Nothing other than tomatoes are allowed in the festival fight. No tomatoes are to be thrown after the second blast.
Since 2003 ticketing rule has been started to limit the number of participants.
Participant’s bodies are enveloped with the tomato paste and tries various ways to remove that from body. some goes to pools  and others goes to home.

There is no winner of the game. This is only for the tradition and fun.

San Fermin

The San fermin is a Spanish festival celebrated annually in the city of Pamplona in Navarre Spain.

San fermin is the seven day festival and  is celebrated from 6th July to 12th July. The festival is internationally known because of the running of the bulls.. In this festival many other traditional events are also included.

The running of the bull game involves hundreds of people running in front of six bulls. Shepherds wearing green t-shirts and holding poles are also standing There to guide the bulls. In this festival bulls are getting in the bullring from outside the city. The distance between the compound and the bullring is 825 meters. The run usually lasts for three to four minutes but sometimes it might take more time. Tickets are full in the afternoon and it is hard to get the tickets.

The events begins at 8 am and in the first firecracker is burn to announce the release of the bulls.
In the second firecracker it is signalled that the last bull has left the ground.

The third firecracker signaleed that the bulls have entered the bullring and the last firecracker indicates that the bulls are safely in the ground and the bull run has ended. The festival is full of entertainment.

La Raima :

La Raima is a Spanish festival celebrated annually in La Pobla , Spain. La Raima is a grapes throwing festival and is celebrated on last Friday of August every year. The festival aims to encourage the wine growing culture of the town and around 70% of the people depends on Agriculture for their livelihood. Grapes is the main source of income for them.

In this festival few trucks run into the town and deliver 40-50 tonnes of grapes which people throws at each other during the festival. The festival starts at 12 noon. Huge amount of people gather to play and see the game..Since 1930 the festival is celebrated in spain. After the season ends they throw the remaining grapes at each other and enjoys this festival.

Carnival

Carnival is one of the best festivals to be celebrated by Spanish people. Carnival is derived from Farewell to the flesh. It is celebrated in the month of Feb or early march.

Carnival is celebrated in Spain as one of the loudest festival. No one sleeps as the carnival continues from dusk to dawn.
People buy funky and expensive costume to wear in this festival. Mainly Carnival includes a public celebration or circus, masks, parade combining and a public street party. People wear masks and costumes during such celebrations as it allows them to hide their everyday individuality. Excessive use of alcohol or other food is prohibited.

Other games of carnival include mock battles such as food fights, social satire and mockery of authorities. These moments are enjoyable.

Els Enfarinats :

Els Enfarinats festival is celebrated in the town of  Ibi , Spain on December 28 every year. Participants encounter each other by throwing eggs, flour, firecrackers, fire extinguishers or more. The battle takes place outside the town hall.

Els Enfarinats is a group of married men who involves in the battle. More the 1000 eggs and a large amount of flour is collected for this battle and the one who breaks the rule has to pay the fine. Fine collected during this battle is donated to the charity. Fire cracks are burned. People enjoys a lot while playing with these things. Their bodies are wrapped with eggs and flour.
